Our Vision

To see the Itsekiri culture flourish across generations in Chicago, creating a legacy that is recognized and respected globally. We aspire to strengthen the bonds between our members, support our community back in Nigeria, and establish enduring partnerships that will empower our people everywhere.

Our History

Tracing our roots back to [Inception Year], the Itsekiri Association of Chicago was born out of a shared desire to maintain our cultural identity in a new land. Through the years, we have celebrated significant milestones—from our first Itsekiri language workshop to hosting the grand Ugbajo Itsekiri festival. Our history is a tapestry of community spirit, illustrated with archival images and documents that tell the story of resilience and unity.
